What is Cocot?

Cocot is a food pre-ordering platform that allows you to order ahead for dine-inat your favourite restaurants to ensure faster service.

How does it work?

Cocot allows you to order meals and pay the bill before arriving at the restaurant. Your food will be ready within minutes of your arrival, and you can leave without waiting for a bill.

How can I benefit from using Cocot?

Cocot connects you to your local faves with an array of delicious food and wait-free service. You get served in minutes, allowing you to enjoy your meal and get on with your day.

No need to wait for a table, for your food and your check. You are in and out, and completely done in under 30 minutes, or as long as it takes to enjoy your meal.

Do I need to pay for the Cocot service?

No, the Cocot service is free for diners.

Where can I use Cocot?

Cocot is currently available in London. If there is a city that you’d like to see us in, let us know at support@picnic.co.uk

How can I have my favourite restaurant to be added to Cocot?

The list of our partner restaurants is growing every day. Just send us a restaurant request at support@picnic.co.uk. We’ll do our best to add it to Cocot. You can also refer Cocot to a host or manager the next time you visit your favourite restaurant. We will give $300 incredits per a restaurant that signs with us and appears on the app.

ACCOUNT

Why do you need my phone number?

We use text messages and push notifications to keep you updated about your Cocot orders. We do not send any spam; only important updates to guarantee a wait free and more seamless dining experience for you.

I have a problem verifying my phone number.

Why do I need to add my photo?

The restaurant should be able to recognize you and greet you by name when you arrive.

How do I delete my account?

Just email us at support@picnic.co.uk, and we will take care of that for you.

How do I change my profile information, including name, email address, phone number, and password?

Tap the profile icon in the bottom right of the app and then select “Account Settings” right under your profile picture. Tap on your name, email address or phone number to edit the field. Tap “Change Password” to create a new password.

ORDERING

How do I place my order?

Select a restaurant from a suggested list in the app (iOS/Android). Then, instantly choose your meal from a menu with photos and place an order for the desired day and time.You can order only for the same day for now. Payingfor your meal is done entirely through theapp.

You can also easily invite friends to join you. Everyone will order and pay separately.

How can I invite my friends to join me?

At checkout, you can invite friends from your phone contacts to join you. Invited friends need to accept the invitation that will be sent via a text message or a special link. They will order and pay separately through the app.

What do I do when I arrive at the restaurant?

When arriving at the restaurant just tell the host that you have an order with Picnic. You will get served in minutes. The app handles the payment and tip, so you can leave when you are ready.

I’m running late, what should I do?

Please contact us as soon as possible so that we can notify the restaurant and make the necessary adjustments are made.

How do I cancel my order?

If your order has already been sent to the restaurant, please tap the “CANCEL” button on the upcoming orders page. We won’t be able to refund your order if the restaurant has already started to prepare the food.

Can I order through Cocot when I’m already inside the restaurant?

Because this defeats the purpose of pre-ordering and does not allow a wait free service, we do not recommend to use Cocot inside restaurants.

How do I submit feedback after my order?

Your satisfaction is our main priority. After each dining experience, we will ask you to leave feedback in the app. There you can add a comment if you had any issues at the restaurant. We will be happy to hear from you and address your concerns.

PAYMENT

Is my payment method information secure?

Yes. Your payment method details are never shared with anybody. Even we do not have access to anything but the last four digits of your card number and the expiration date.

Why do you charge and then return $1 on my payment method after registration?

This is the way our payment system checks the payment method to make sure it is valid. No money is deducted from your account. It’s only an authorization.

Does Picnic charge a service fee?

No, the Picnic service is free for diners.

Can I pay in cash?

All payments, including tip to the restaurant, are done entirely through the app. You can use cash or card to order additional items when you are already in the restaurant.

How do I change my payment method?

Tap the profile icon in the bottom right of the app and then select “My Payment Methods” right under your profile picture. Tap “Add Payment Method” to add a new payment method, or choose among the existing ones. We require having at least one payment method on file to use Picnic.

Do I get a receipt from Picnic?

Yes, we email you a summary receipt that includes all charges like tip, tax, and others.

Can I use Apple Pay/Google Pay within the Picnic app?

Yes, simply open the Picnic app and select Apple Pay/Google Pay in your payment method. (Make sure you have Apple Pay/Google Pay set up on your phone)

Can I use my friend’s payment method already registered on Picnic?

We do not allow to use payment methods already registered in our system. In this case, we remove credits from the account and disable the usage of referral and promotional credits for this account in the future.

How do I get referral credits by referring friends to Picnic?

When you refer a first-time user to Picnic with your code, they will immediately receive $20 off their first order and you will also receive a $20 credit. You can invite friends by going into your profile and using the “Invite My Friends” button.
